Here is what you should know about GMOs.
GMO, “genetically modified organisms”, are the plants and animals created through genetic engineering. Monsanto, in particular, is a large agricultural company responsible for most of the GMO crops in the world today. Monsanto is actually genetically engineering crops to produce their own pesticide in the form of Bt (Bacillus thurengiensis). Bt is known to harm the soil, wildlife, animals, and human health.
Not only are GMOs producing a toxic chemical, but they also lack nutrients in comparison with non-GMO crops. When eaten by animals, GMOs cause a nutrient deficiency, bloating, tumors, and various severe illnesses. When humans eat these animals or GMO plants directly, we also experience the side effects of GMOs. GMOs have been linked to autism, cancer, thyroid issues, IBS, organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders (including allergies), accelerated aging, and infertility.

Ingredients derived from GMOs include vegetable oil, vegetable fat and margarines (made with soy, corn, cottonseed, and/or canola), soy flour, soy protein, soy isolates, soy isoflavones, soy lecithin, vegetable proteins, textured vegetable protein (TVP), tofu, tamari, tempeh, and soy protein supplements, corn flour, corn gluten, corn masa, corn starch, corn syrup, cornmeal, and High-Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS).
How to avoid GMO

3. Avoid high-risk ingredients, including corn, soy, canola, cottonseed, sugar beets, papaya, zucchini, and yellow squash.
